Social Issues Lies:

OBAMA SAID:  “Mitt Romney raised nursing home fees eight times.”

Fact: all the fees were levied on the nursing homes themselves, not the middle class families struggling to afford nursing home care mentioned in the ad.Both those elements of the statement are inaccurate and misleading.

OBAMA SAID:   “When Governor Romney says that we should eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood, there are millions of women all across the country, who rely on Planned Parenthood for, not just contraceptive care, they rely on it for mammograms, for cervical cancer screenings.”

Fact: an investigation by Live Action demonstrated that the abortion provider does not actually perform the cancer-screening examinations but instead refers women to other agencies and clinics.

OBAMA SAID:  "Mitt Romney would deny gay people the right to adopt children. "
Cnn Interview with Mitt:

"I happen to believe that the best setting for raising a child is where this is the opportunity    to a mom and a dad to be in the home," Romney said. "I know there are many circumstances where that is not possible, through death or divorce. I also know many gay couples are able to adopt children. That's fine."

OBAMA SAID:  “I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration”

Fact: In actuality, the Fast and Furious program was started in October 2009, nine months into the Obama presidency.

OBAMA SAID:  "Fence between US and Mexico is “Practically Complete”
           Department of Homeland Security says 5%

OBAMA SAID:  "I am not somebody who promotes same-sex marriage."

Oh really? The Windy City Times, Chicago’s oldest gay and lesbian newspaper reports that he filled out a questionnaire in 1996 and said:

“I favor legalizing same-sex marriages and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages.”
