It's me again. Is there anyone out there?

I hadn't planned on continuing to blog because nobody seems to be blogging anymore.

I've never considered myself a political blogger. However, I've had my eye on Obama ever since he put his hat in the ring. Who is this guy? Where did he come from? Why has he suddenly become the press's darling? Now that he is running for a second term, I thought I'd put my two cents in for those of you who are on the fence:

Obama LIES! (About Oil & Gasoline)

OIL & GASOLINE:

OBAMA SAID: In 2010 : "We have run out of places in the US to drill for oil."
The facts are that there is plenty of oil that we can get closer to our shores and on land, but Laws have pushed companies off into the coast and into deeper waters making it more expensive and dangerous to harvest energy. And to say there isn’t very much oil is a crock. There is so much oil we can’t keep it from gushing out of the pipe.

OBAMA SAID: In his 2012 State of the Union Address, President Obama said that American oil production is the highest that it’s been in eight years.
FACT:   Here is a headline that proves otherwise:
Report: Oil Production on Federal Lands Dropped 275,000 Barrels a Day in 2011 (March 22, 2012)
And yet he continued to say USA producing more oil than ever before
Actually, our oil production has been steadily declining since 1970 (when we were producing 9,367 million barrels a day to 1992 (7,171 barrels a day) to the lowest its ever been in 2008 (4,950). It has been up and down  since. In 2011 it was at 5,676 – which is 275,000 barrels a day less than last year)
Obama says he’ll save average family $8,000 in gas
Obama says that because of his new CAFE standards for cars and trucks he would save a typical family about $8,000 a year in gas costs. Actually, this is mathematically impossible
(to be fair, I think he must have meant over the life of the vehicle)
Either way, here in San Diego, we’ve seen gas prices get up to $5.00 a gallon, TWICE since Obama’s been in office (from a low of $3.64 in 2008)
